The Pedagogical and Psychological Counsel is an institution serving youth protection goals. It is a centre providing support both for children with learning and behavioural difficulties and for their surroundings. All services the institute provides is free of charge. Our colleagues are development pedagogues, counsellors, and psychologists. We can be reached over the phone. According to the problem, the right professional will see the child within a short span of time.
Parent, teacher or child can equally turn to us.
We will advise parents if their child seems uneasy or tired, has concentration, writing or reading difficulties or her performance is lower than is mental ability.
We try to help those families too, where the child is introverted, oversensitive, over reactive, depressed or has suicidal thoughts. Other problems may include eating or sleeping problems.
During our school – maturity investigations we examine if the child’s maturity allows her to start school.
We work closely together with schools and kindergartens.
